My battery completely died, so I hook it up to usb and it just gets stuck at the LG logo, I cant get into recovery either. When I do fastboot continue from within fastboot(I can get to fastboot, but not recovery) it just get's stuck at the booting linux stage. I tried flashing V20F_00 with the kdz flasher but it failed, here's the last bits of the log:

Ok, so I got it to flash successfully by unplugging the usb cord then plugging it in while holding vol up and back to get back into emergency mode, then it finished successfully. It still has the same problem though, :/

I have a similar situation: have fastboot error instead of recovery, try to reflash from KDZ V20F and got the error in the middle of process. Pull down the battery, plug/unplug USB cable, enter the emergency mode and reflash successfuly. Then I turned on the phone -SUPRISE - all my soft and widgets was the same and fastboot LEFT! So I flash V20E from P500 with funky colors, root it, install recovery (was followin instructions for P500 at XDA) and install my custom ROM http://forums.androidcentral.com/t-lg-phoenix-thrive/157525-custom-rom-lg-stock-2-3-4-a.html. Everything is fine

I flashed the P500 V20E, still have same problem as before.

You need to try renstall Windows and put clean LG drvers or change computer. Also use original cable, no USB-hubs (plug cable into backside of system block). Did you disable LG Virtual modem in "Device manager".

Try sending a tweet or direct message to @Android on Twitter. They might be able to help you. How long have you had the phone and/or battery? Perhaps you need a new battery? Or you could go to where you bought the phone and see what they say. Good luck! :)

I did all of that, except reinstalling windows and I'm not going to do that. I got it to flash successfully, it just wont boot. Before, when I used to turn on my phone with no battery in it would get to the animated boot logo and then bootloop because it ran out of power(the cable couldn't supply enough to keep booting). It just stays at the bootloader LG logo now. When I do fastboot continue it just halts at the "Booting linux" stage.
