HI, I am eligible to upgrade my phone now. I am so stuck between the note 2 and s4. I never make calls, and I rarely text. I usually just browse the web and play games. I dont care about cameras too much either. I bet this has been asked before but thanks in advance.

Well the size is something to look at.
The Note 2 is significantly larger, and thus would be harder. The S4 is a compact device, well for a 5 incher.
If you go on the web, a lot, the Notes 2 display may be better, as it displays more. The S600 CPU on the Galaxy S4 would be better for
slightly faster rendering, and more frames in games, but its not something you would notice.

For web browsing the screen on the Note 2 would be better, the stylus is also good for making notes.
The Galaxy S4 is a faster device, thus better for games.

Though, the Galaxy S3 is still a great device, and is by no means slow.

I was looking to get an Note 2 because of the spen and multi window which I love on my Note 10.1. But after going to the store and holding the Note2 it was just too big for a phone and ended up with an S3. I suggest you definitely hold it before you make a decision. If you look on Ebay most of the people selling the Note2 was because it was too big. It's definitely a two handed device.

If size doesn't matter, then it comes down to a faster and newer phone or the Spen. If the Spen is not something your plan on using then I would go for the S4. The speed difference won't effect you now, but later on down the line you'll be able to run newer apps for a little longer, but not by much.

By the way I miss the Spen but am definitely happy I went with the S3. I think 5" screens are the sweet spot for me. It's the largest I can go before the size is awkward.

I have the note 2. I would hands down go with the s4. The screen on the s4 is a true hd screen with almost double the clarity with the ppi. I thought the s pen I would use, but I don't. The note 2 is 5.5 inch and the s4 is 5.0 inch so a bit nicer size in my opinion. The s4 has a lot more goodies too.

It depends on what you want really,
Big screen or performance.

S4. Newer, better screen, and fast processor. The note 2 in my opinion is a bit laggy. The s3 is fastee than the note 2 with ui stuff. Its very big and uncomfortable to hold with ine hand. The screen size isnt that much different between the two.

Me thinks you used a faulty note 2 or something lol. My note 2 rips through android way faster than my old s3 ever did.

Apps are smoother, they open faster, and the screen is way brighter with more clarity. The only reason I would ever recommend the s3 over the note 2 is if u cant deal with the size. Evem then I would just get the s4 the screen onthe s3 looks like a dark mess to me and the note 2 displays true whites unlike my s3 which is some kind of blue color.

Ive had time to use the s4 extemsively. The screen is nowhere near double the clarity. In fact you would be hars pressed to notice any difference outside of small text.
