Howdy.

I accidentally made someone a 'favorite' and now I can't make them disappear no matter what I do.

At first, I was trying to remove them by selecting them at favorites (by default, it brought up their contact information) and then selecting menu and then edit. I then unselected 'favorites' under 'group'.

Once, this made them disappear from my favorites page for a little while, but then they later reappeared.

I tried the above a few more times and they still wouldn't disappear.

Finally, I gave up and just deleted their contact completely... and it's still there! Now, when I select them under favorites, it brings their contact information up and I hit menu, the 'edit' selection is now gone. Under Information, it still shows their group listed as 'Favorites'.

Anybody got any ideas? This is pissing me off.

I had this problem too when I first started playing with this phone as I'm new to HTC Sense and Android. In order to remove a contact from the 'Favorites' widget:

1. Go to the 'People' app.
2. On the bottom row, the first contact card is highlighted. Tap the second one, which looks like it has another contact card hidden behind it.
3. You should now see the heading 'Groups' at the top. Click the 'Favorites' group.
4. Now it should show you any member of the group 'Favorites'. Hit the 'Menu' button and you should see the option to 'Delete group member'.
5. Select the contact that you want to delete and hit the back button.
6. Hit the Delete button and it should be removed from the group.

If anyone knows a faster way of doing this, please post it as I'd like to know too.

Yeah, I finally found it.

My way may be a little simpler.

Push 'people', change to groups at the bottom of the screen, push and hold 'people' and a box will pop up saying 'edit group'.

Once you select that, it will display all your favorites, but this time, have an X after each of their names. Push the X to delete them.

Most everything I've run across on Sense has been pretty intuitive, but that one was a pain in the ass. You can't really do much editing of your favorites using the widge that takes up the whole screen (the one to the right of the home screen).
