I rooted my HTC Inspire and when I tried to backup my ROM with the cynagen 7 Rom. After the ROM downloaded and the phone restarted it was went through the android logo on a skateboard boot logo. Then it kept going... I took the battery out and the same thing happened. I took the sim out, same thing. I booted into recovery and clicked on recovery, the screen backed out, it flashed the HTC logo a few times and went dark again. The same happened when I pressed factory reset. Can anyone help? Did I brick my phone? :(

There are a few things you can do. If the phone rebooted and you can get back to the hboot screen you can reload the stock ROM back on the device by downloading the file from here: [ROM] Ace_Cingular_US_1.84.502.11-Radio-26_06_06 _30_M - xda-developers

Run the program while your phone is connected via USB and it will flash the ROM and you can reinstall CM7 again or any other ROM you want.

Doing so you will have most all Apps and data but it can be recovered via your market account.

Good luck!

Also, when you get back up and running, uncheck fast boot in the application settings. that will cause bootloops with some ROMs as well. the phone will still boot up normally and just as fast. It's better to let it run slower to make sure everythign starts and runs fine.

this same thing happened to me. I did a factory / cache wipe, reflashed CM7 and it worked. Make sure you did a full format (not a quick format) for your SD card, as well as partitioning it prior to flashing CM7.

I need some help, same thing, when I choose recovery i get the black screen and red ! point. I tried to click factory reset, it looks like it loads something then restarts but still stuck at white htc screen. help guys!

My Inspire Did the same thing. Stuck in a Boot loop for like 2 hours. I went to HTC and downloaded there Gingerbread rom and that reset my phone. Then I ran ACE again and flashed CM 7.1 with no problems. After I figured out what I did wrong which was not checking all 3 boxes to clear both cache's and do a backup before installing.

My volume wasn't working on my htc inspire and got the white screen of death I am not very smart with electronics can you help me?
