Ok I replied to this thread a long time ago and since then fix my LG NITRO. By the way I have the LG G3 now.

Moving on...use the LG mobile support tool and hold down the volume "UP"* while connecting the phone's usb cord to your PC, it will put the phone into download mode. Then you can flash the stock firmware with the LG tool.

I have used this tool and recovered from bootloops and even the scary "security error" after deleting google movies.
I only used this method with the LG NITRO but it should work with any LG phone.

after getting into stock recover then use volume keys to toggle between options and select clear cache partition then click yes and reboot your device and then it will be ready to use even after that its stucked in boot loop then repeat the same this after clear partition then select wipe data then reboot your device now i am sure your device will work after this:cool:

My LG has also been having these "bootloop" shenanigans, and it's driving me crazy! I did nothing with my phone, actually it's almost brand new, and out of nowhere, BOOM-black screen, LG logo, Blue start up and then..repeat ad nauseum..I just tried removing the battery for ten minutes, and so far, it hasn't helped. Really sick of factory resets-at the moment, I've done two..and tomorrow I'm probably exchanging this for a brand new phone per my two year insurance..I currently use Straight-Talk. I never had these issues with any other phone, and I wonder if this is due to an app ?? possibly leaving crapware on the phone somewhere? Is that possible?? I thought that phones were sort of "protected" from virus issues more than pc? anyway, this is horrible. thank you all for posting all the info that you have, it's helped me so much in the past to learn how to fix my own issues instead of asking my uber tech brother. so far, still looping. so battery removal didn't do anything. I'm curious about the possibility of an app doing this, as i've had quite a few I installed and uninstalled..(I always clear cache etc, before deleting..) anyone ever hear of an app doing this kind of thing? thanks.

Thanks, even though my phone wasn't in boot loop it pressing home, Volume up, and power really helped.

so when i turn on my phone and its works and everthing but the screen goes black after a while but you can here every thing its just the screen is black i wont to know how i can fix it or take it somewear to get it fixed

The solution after I had experienced the same boot loop you described is to remove the battery and sim card. After one minute, reinstall the sim card and battery and turn on the phone. It should work and there will be no data or app loss.

My phone is stuck in a boot loop, I have rooted my phone with rom manger and I can't do a factory reset the screen turns purple. Help me please:-[

This is what you call "bricking" your phone because all it is good for now is to throw similar to a brick. When you root a phone, you basically put your phone on thin ice... Everything you do must be very precise and careful. You screwed up some how which must have wiped what is called a partition, which makes your phone stuck without a rom to run. You can't take it into your cell provider store either because rooting it erases the warranty

I realize this may be a tad bit too late, but I see many are still having similar issues. Also, just this week, I tried using this old phone of mine (LG Optimus L70) and after not using it for months, also had a dead battery. No root, no modifications to OS, typical usage, but now would only show boot logo. It sat for 48 hours, nothing happened. Couldnt boot into safe mode or whatever with any combination of power+volume+home. Only way I could get it to load was:
1) Charge phone (while off) to 25%+ battery
2) Attempt to turn on phone (still only shows LG boot logo)
3) Unplug phone from charger and remove battery while phone is still trying to boot
4) Insert battery and power on phone
I am NOT for sure that this wont cause harm to your phone, so DO NOT blame me for damage, however I'm fairly certain that this won't cause damage since Android phones are known to freeze, and often require the removal of the battery to restart phone. :D

My Lg D160 was stuck in restartloop, was not recognize by my PC, and pressing vol+ and power dosen't had any result (no download mode). Only thing that works was entering in Hard Factory reset mode.....but when i pressed OK phone will restart again, not performing any factory data reset, After half a day of trying different things, i replace the battery, and....the phone was working again !!! Hope that will help someone and please excuse my english.

What do you mean replace? throwing away your old battery and placing a new one or taking your battery out and putting him back in? I have also an Lg D160 but still can't get it fixed
