I just got the small "preparation" update (the 7mb one) and it downloaded fine, my phone rebooted and did the update and everything seemed fine, until it started up. I get to the lock screen and it's fine for a few seconds and then suddenly reboots. I can get to the menu to select recovery (holding down the down-volume button) but when i select recovery it just reboots and never goes to it. My phone is 100% stock.

I just tried recovery again and it got into it this time but it shows a phone icon with a red exclamation point.

can you get to hboot?

pull the battery, hold the down volume rocker, keep holding while pressing and holding the power button. the led should flash 2 times and then you can let go of the power button...should take you to hboot. do a factory reset from there

This same boot loop happened to me. I didn't root to install the leaks because I wanted to keep my data. But with this problem I lost it anyway. My phone would boot fine for five minutes, and reboot. But when I tried to do a factory reset the phone would not do anything. I had to do it from the recovery.
Everything is work fine so far now.
But I lost everything on the internal memory, even storage.

Well i think this "update" has bricked my phone. I can't do a factory reset from hboot, it just reboots the phone and does the whole process again... I'm off to the verizon store now, good thing i still have my warranty and should get a new one free.

You should be able to reset the phone in hboot.

The red exclamation point is just stock recovery. It is supposed to do that. We're you unlocked or rooted or anything? Just download the ruu and flash it in hboot. It should fix everything and give you ics

100% stock, and I tried and it didn't work. Also the factory reset from Hboot didn't work either, doesn't matter, new (refurb) phone is on it's way.

Turn it into lte /cdma auto of not through your settings or try it from phone dial *#*#4636#*#* go to phone info
