Lol no that's the boot animation for euroskanks CM10 kang.. It's normal... Assuming that's the ROM you flashed.

it is but it has been on that screen forever

Before flashing the ROM, in recovery did you do a full wipe? As in wipe data/factory reset, wipe caches, wipe system.. Then flash the ROM and Gapps and reboot?

If you missed wiping data you could be in for a hard time (everything else is technically OK).

First boot in a new ROM can take a while... But after 10 minutes its safe to assume something screwed up and you should try again.

its been on that screen for over 10 min how do i fix this?

Pull the battery and replace it. Hold both volumes and power til the bootloader screen, volume scroll to recovery, hit power. That will get you to recovery.

From there do a full wipe and flash again.

You missed the most important one: WIPE DATA/FACTORY RESET :)

Yup. You have to go and reinstall apps and such, unless you used something like Titanium Backup.

Ok one more problem i need a good ROM that's not in japanese and that has the VZ backup assistant

Why do you need backup assistant? Sync your contacts through Google.

Euroskank CM10 is not in Japanese.

You're fine man. I had a similar issue a few months ago when I first rooted my gnex and someone saved my a$$. You can export all of your contacts in a csv format from the verizon wireless "my backup assistant" website and import them into your google account. Then they will sync automatically on any rom going forward.

That said, once you're all setup I highly suggest using titanium backup or my backup pro to backup you apps and data (never system data). Also, I use Nova (Apex does it too, perhaps others) mainly because it allows you to backup your homescreen(s) so that you never have to set them up again. Just restore your apps etc using TiBU/MBP and then restore from Nova/Apex. Boom. Done.

Here's the VZW MBA website. I remember it being a pain to find so I bookmarked it.

select all/actions dropdow/export contacts/i want to select the file format myself/csv(outlook)

This should get then in your gmail account:

Exactly what he said.... once you sync them to your Google account you'll never rely on VZW apps again. Welcome to the way Android was meant to be :)
