Ok, This is my last attempt at trying to fix my Inspire 4G before scraping it. Here's the problem:

After a year of normal use it powered down one day. I powered it back on, it rebooted and got to the HTC Sense screen, then powered off again. Took it to ATT Repair Center. They installed a new battery but it still had the same problem. The phone works like normal when it is plugged into the wall outlet for power, but powers off immediately after its unplugged. The Battery meter always shows full battery.

Here's what i have also tried, with no luck;
1. Removed and reinstalled battery
2. Hard & soft reset
3. Reset to factory setting
4. Rooted phone

Same problem.

Any suggestions?

its a hardware problem I'm thinking mite be the. Voltage controller?? I'm not to sure but you can try this being its rooted install clockwork mod off rom manager. Turn off the phone volume down power button wait for the h boot to pop up use the lol key to toggle and the power button to select. Go to recovery it'll go to clock work mod toggle down to advanced and find delete battery stats delete them and reboot good luck

Ok, Will do. To add to the complication. This phone is in Viet Nam with my gf now. I walked her thru the rooting so this should be a piece of cake. Ha! Will try and and let everyone know..Thnks again

Hey cyanogen-man, Question:

I'm not that experienced with all this phone hacking. Understand what needs to be done..Can you provide me a good link to the clockwork mod your talking about being installed?

Thanks

Go to the Google play store and look up from manager and simply download it it had clockwork mod in it
