Stupid Question?

How can I tell which color phone I have? Mine looks silver but I ordered frost. It's light silver so it might be frost. They look really close online.

Whatever it says on your order sheet is most likely the one your ordered. It would be hard for us to judge without pictures.

If it looks white, it's Frost.
There's absolutely no mistaking the frost colour for aluminium.
Colour mistakes do happen.
Despite my order being for a Carbon, I got shipped a Frost Nexus.
Order confirmation *and* packing slip both say Carbon Nexus 128gb.
IMEI was also matched by Google to a Carbon phone in their systems.

Whether it's a Huawei manufacturing error, or a data entry error with the warehouse, it seems to be an ongoing issue with Nexus orders in the Asia/Pacific region.

It's been a damn nightmare getting the Carbon I ordered without having to effectively buy another phone.
I ended up having to get Huawei PR management involved, and am expecting it to be delivered tomorrow.

The Frost is white, period. If it looks silver then it is the Aluminum. The only silver appearance on the Frost phone is on the chamfered bezels and the ring around the fingerprint reader..

This. There's also a sort pearlescent shimmer to the Frost (which I love) but, even so, there's no mistaking the Frost for Aluminum.

Why do you care about the color? I have the white phone but I'd be just as happy with aluminum or black. If you don't like the color just put a skin with a different color on it. I can't imagine using the phone without a skin anyway, it makes it more comfortable to hold, it's less slippery and it provides some protection.

Because I want the one I ordered. I think they sent me the aluminum instead of the frost. Will have to call...

Well dang. Just checked my order and I did indeed order the aluminum. Thought I ordered the frost. Will keep it. Thanks all.

If you really wanted the frost, don't settle for aluminum. Call Google and let them know what happened, if you just got it, you're probably still in the return period. I'd hate to have to settle for a phone color i didn't want.

yeah like others said, there's no mistaking the frost for white ... it's actually one of the nicest whites I've ever seen on a phone

are you serious, lol ... dude ordered frost, that's what he wants and that's what he paid for.

I doubt if they shipped you a pink phone you'd just shrug it off and say you'll just put a skin on it ... geez!!

Except in a post 10 hours before yours the OP says they checked the order and found they had ordered the aluminum rather than frost.

It isn't an insubstantial purchase...you deserve to have the color you WANT. Return and reorder.

Going to keep it. Turns out I haven't noticed the color of the phone once since getting it. Great phone so far.
