Stupid Question

Don't flame me if this has been discussed, I used the search function and it just didn't help.

The only reason I want the TB is because I played with my boyfriend's EVO and thought it was great! If the all I really care about is being able to talk and surf the internet at the same time, is there any other phone from VZ that I could get?

I just heard about this Stealth thing and I THOUGHT the Bionic was going to be later in the year, so I set my sights on TB because I thought I could get it sooner...but if the TB isn't coming out anytime soon, maybe I should just wait for a cheaper phone that does the same thing...?

Yes, you can talk and surf the net at the same time on the TB. No, there is no other VZW phone that has this caapability.

no, it can't.

It's only a guess, but your wait to get a TB will likely fall inside of 2 or 3 weeks. No other phones they have can talk and surf at the same time, unless you are connected to a wifi network, then they all can do this.

We should be clear though, that talking and surfing can be done on most VZW smartphones if hooked up to a wifi network. It's when it's on 3G that the TB can do this, that no other vzw phone can. I think all the other 4g lte phones will be able to talk and surf if they're on the 4g network.

There is always a new phone just around the corner... this will be the latest and greatest until next month... but none cheaper that can do the same thing unless you want to wait 6-9 months for the TB's price to come down.

I'm guessing the Bionic will be about the same price as the TB...and if the CEO guy is to be believed, it won't be too far behind...sigh...

I thought the latest was Stealth and Revolution following TB before Bionic surfaces.

I'm having a hard time keeping up, but I THOUGHT the guy said that the phones would be out in the 1st half of the year and being that the Stealth was previously unnamed (at CES), I guess I assumed the Bionic would follow the TB...I know NOTHING of this Revolution that you speak???

LG phone that we all thought was going to be dual core, but it turned out to be single. If I'm not mistaken, it's the same, or similar, proc as the TBolt. Still 4G, same size, different UI, FFC. It'll be a good phone, but it depends on if it comes out before or after the Bionic. Before: good phone. After: dead in the water.

I still think HTC makes a great phone, plus they update their phone's OS. I'll take an HTC smartphone over any Samsung, LG, or Motorola smartphone any day.

I am guessing the 4G phones will all have this ability since they will do voice over 3G and data over 4G. This will only be until they perfect VoLTE and both will be on 4G, but not sure when that is.

One question would be even for TB if you live in a 3G area only I am guessing you have either voice or data but not at same time.
