Hi

My previous nexus 6p bootlooped.

I got a 2nd hand samsung s8.

It seems a nice phone but it irritates the hell out of me as its constantly buffering youtube videos whilst watching in Chrome.

It also seems to be very poor at keeping wifi signal.

I never had these issues with my Nexus 6p.

Are these known issues with the S8? What did people do to resolve?

thank you!

update: I tried the samsung browser - the buffering isn't an issue anymore....hmmmm

I never use YouTube app and mine doesn't stutter in the Chrome browser. I have an ad blocker which keeps it clean too.. Glad you found a solution there :-)

That's strange because, as far as I know, the Samsung browser uses the Chrome engine. (Have you tried the YouTube app? That should be even better.)

As far as keeping the WiFi signal, I haven't seen any reports of that for the S8, but a loose antenna connector (the one that plugs into the motherboard - it can be not all the way in) can cause that. (Of course, these days, with phones that are glued shut, the labor to just touch a plug, which is about all it amounts to, makes highway robbery look like someone giving you money. [It can run around $60 to just push the connector in - and open the whole phone and close it up again, which is really what you pay for.])
