I have successfully fully rooted my Thunderbolt. Once it was fully rooted, I lost the ability to view any pictures that were on the phone. I went to the Gallery and received "No Photos or Videos Found". I mounted the SD card to the pc and I was able to view all the pictures. I tried removing and re-adding the photos to the SD card, rebooting the phone a bunch of times, re-scanning the SD card, Using the SDrescan app, creating and renaming folders with the pictures in it, clearing the cache and data in the gallery app. Nothing has worked. The pictures are fully intact on the SD card and none are corrupted. Any ideas on how be able to view them in the gallery again? They are all in Jpeg format.

Thanks.

Check for hidden files on the phone and PC, think astro and other file manager lets you see these files, there is a hidden file somewhere in that folder. Or make a new folder and throw those files in there. Qikpik finds any pic on the phone.

That happened to me when I first rooted. I forgot how i fixed it. I think it was a matter of a few reboots.
Did you install a new ROM?
AOSP ROMs tend to be a little more finicky than Sense bases ROMs.

What method did you use to root? The developer might have some insight.

Try using this app (SD Rescan). It is free and works great

Just came across this in another forum:

"Thanks to Rootzwiki developer erishasnobattery (again) who confirmed the bug, we now know that the reason why some of you may be missing your ringtones, pictures, videos, and audio files. ROM Manager, in its 5.0.1.3 update, placed a file called .nomedia on the root of your SD card, which causes the media scanner to skip the entire SD card when it scans your phone for media at startup. This will not only hide your ringtones, but also all of your other media files (don't worry, they're still there on your SD card, only your phone doesn't know it). ClockworkMod, the developers of ROM Manager, are aware of the issue and tweeted that the issue has been fixed in the 5.0.1.4 update now available in the Play Store."

So far my Tbolt is fine but my Gnex got hit with this problem. Rom Manager was updated earlier today and the fix seems to be working.
