Sudden change from Samsung style to stock Android style navigation buttons

Ok this is a strange one. All of a sudden after a reboot my navigation buttons changed from the Samsung style to the stock Android style, as you can see in the screenshot. I have no apps installed whatsoever that would have done this. Any thoughts?

Lol yeah I'm definitely not complaining but it's just so random. I installed nothing that would have anything to do with changing the actual navigation button style. So strange!

Have you restarted the phone since you updated to Oreo ( before today)? Could it be an Oreo thing ? It does look kind of awesome though. Lol

Yes, a bunch of times. Then all of a sudden I restarted today and I noticed this. And I agree, it looks great. But I'd still like to have an idea of what might have happened for this to change. Also very curious if this has happened to anyone else with a S8/+ ... I'm on Verizon, though that shouldn't make much of a difference with something like this.

Oh I didn't think of that... Let me try changing and I'll see if it does anything. I did change the theme today. I'll be back shortly with an update...

Update: Well well, wuddayaknow... Twas the theme change that did it. Sheesh, can't believe I didn't think of that.

For those that are interested, I'm using the theme Blac UI.
