I'm using a set of motorola s305 bluetooth headphones with my DInc. Suddenly today, the headset's onboard controls ceased to function with every streaming music program I have. Ive noticed no updates which may be a culprit, and have unpaired/paired the headset with no success. Anyone else experiencing this or have a potential fix?

I have the same head phones and I know the problem your having. For some reason out of the blues the head phones wont connect and your music wont play.

Here's what you do:

  1. Turn off your Head phones. (As you know wait for it to "ding".)
  2. Go to the blue tooth settings and turn it off.
  3. Wait for the blue tooth in the phone to fully shut down. (Takes a couple of seconds.)
  4. Turn on your blue tooth on the phone.
  5. Turn on your head phones and wait for it to sync both the phone and audio.

Every thing should work fine now. I don't really know what causes this, I usually don't any problems with these head phones.

Also I would recommend placing a bluetooth widget on one of your home pages.

Bigk,

Thanks for the reply, but I'm actually not having any trouble with connecting our playing music. My trouble is with the controls on the headset itself. They used to work like a charm with slacker, pandora, etc., but for no apparent reason, I can no longer use the buttons to pause/play, skip tracks, etc. Hope that clears things up!

Only the play/pause button works for me, I've never had the back/forward button work for me with this HTC incredible. The headphones register the buttons being hit and makes the sounds but the phone does nothing.

  • I assume you have Android 2.2 AND the maintenance software upgrade in November installed?
  • Were your streaming apps recently updated via the market?
  • Have you checked the options in the app(s) to make sure you told it to use a blue tooth head set? Some of my audio apps I choose if I want it to control my blue tooth head set or not.
  • Have you tried just rebooting the phone?
  • Have you tried reinstalling the app(s)? (Back up first!)

Just throwing out ideas!
