Suddenly unable to connect to wifi at motel, how can I connect to it?

Suddenly unable to connect to wifi at motel

We have been staying at the same motel for the past two weeks and I have had no trouble connecting to the wifi here on my Nexus 7 tablet. Suddenly, last night, when I tried to connect, I would get an icon with a lock on it and the message that the "site is unsecure". I tried to overide this and log in with my password, but to no avail. The password connects, but I can't connect to the internet. I've tried to connect in safe mode, but this does not work either. I've tried "forgetting" the connection, going into airplane mode, and have re-booted about 35 times. Still no luck, still the locked icon.
I can connect to the wifi here fine on my laptop.
Any advice?

Welcome to Android Central!

It could be that the hotel change the security on the wifi and your phone doesn't connect because the security is not high enough.
