Hi all,

I have been using a Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) for some months now, and I am pretty happy about how it works.
I often take notes in S Note. I find it useful to copy some bits of my notes from one page to a new page.
I used to do this by

1) selecting the bit I want to copy
2) hitting the copy "button"
3) moving to the new page
4) keeping the pen onto the page until a "paste button" appears
5) hitting the paste button and adjusting the position of the pasted material.

Yesterday the function in 4) stopped working. The material gets copied in the clipboard at step 2), but I am unable to paste it using the s pen, as in 4). The only way I can paste is going through the clipboard.

Has any of you any advice on how to restore the function in 4)?
Could this be the s-pen malfunctioning?

Thanks a lot for your help

Had the same problem, strangely using my finger worked. Once restarted everything back to normal.

Thanks a lot guys,

yesterday I tried everything I could think. Closing and reopening the document, closing and reopening S-Note, restarting my tablet.
Nothing seemed to work.

Today I followed your advice and I used my finger instead of the S-pen. I hadn't thought about that.
Not only it worked, but it seems to have fixed the problem for the s-pen as well, with no need of restarting.

That's a strange behavior.. I expected that none of the s-pen functions were accessible to my finger, since I was in the "S pen only mode".
Anyway, good to know of a possible workaround!

Thanks a lot again!

S pen only mode just means that the only way to write and erase is with using the S pen. Your finger can do everything else, such as copying/cutting and pasting, panning, zooming in or out, modifying the size of items, and moving things around.
