Suddenly very slow data and bad cellular service

My phone has been working great for the past 2 years then suddenly within the past week, internet has become so slow that pages time out before they can load. And cellular sevice drops calls and I can't send or receive some texts. I called Verizon but while the rep was running a diagnostics, the call dropped. Strangely, this is all happening at the exact time I'm eligible for an upgrade. I'll be paying my first bill that is $40 less, and was planning on using this phone till it fell apart because there was nothing wrong with it. Any suggestions? Thanks.
 
Was this V30 purchased directly from Verizon, or did you bring it unlocked from somewhere else?

I wonder if CDMA 3G being refarmed to 4G/5G LTE only could be problem.

I'm running AT&T branded V30 on AT&T in my area. When 3G has been refarmed to 5Ge, usually I show 5Ge on V30 and my AT&T XR too. However, certain areas in my region, my XR keeps the 5Ge band while the V30 shows 4G LTE instead.

Since 5Ge is really 4GLTE backhaul, I suspect it means V30 is on different band.
