Suggestions for a sun hood?

I'm using the Nexus 7 for flying a drone. Looking for a sun hood that will fit and offer good sun shielding.

Anyone tried something that works?

I've tried the diy route but it didn't work. Ambient light is just as killer as direct. Watching for suggestions.
