Ok, tell me specifically what's going on. Will the OS boot up? If so, what OS are you running? You said you flashed the DJ05 radio, right? So, you did that and you restored back to your previous OS. If that's what you're saying, yeah, that can screw things up. I need some more info though. I want to make sure I understand exactly where things are at so I can give good advice and directions.

oh ok well:

1) flashed the radio file threw Odin.
2) went into rom manager, selected reboot in recovery.
3) while in recover i select install
4) apply sdcard:udate:zip
5) then to the file that said " -yes - Install /sdcard/update.zip
6) finished the install i guess
7) went back to the recovery menu
8) started it up, choose bluetooth still didnt help...
9) so i restored back to before i installed Superclean
10) that didnt help either. lol
11) reflashed it threw odin, same results
12) went to reboot in recovery, repeated the process
13) rebooted, i got bluetooth back but then i still dont have texting lol

Should i install Superclean? and then install the radio back?

Running the update.zip does nothing but launch recovery. You need to flash the modem(already done - sounds like) and the go into recovery and load the DJ05 rom or a custom DJ05 rom of your choosing. You need to have this rom loaded onto you SD card already so you can flash it. I guess at this point if you have the DJ05 modem, you can load clean .9 from rom manager but you will need a DJ05 kernel as well. This is all spelled out in the XDA thread on installing DJ05.

If you use Rom manager to load recovery, you would need to load a rom from your sd card. Then it will ask you where it is and then install it. Sounds like you did the modem and nothing else. Then if you installed Clean .8, you have a DI01 kernel which will probably cause problems.

Could be wrong but that is what it sounds like to me.

Ok, first, here's some clarification: update.zip IS Clockworkmod. You have two recovery systems. The one with blue lettering is your stock recovery. The one with green lettering is Clockworkmod. When you boot into recovery, you have to apply update.zip in order to get into Clockworkmod. Okay, just some information for ya.

For your problem, here is what I would do: Since it sounds like you have the DJ05 modem.tar file successfully flashed to your phone, the next step is having the correct kernel and rom installed. Here's what I would do:

1) Sounds like you can get your phone booted up so hook your phone up to your computer enabling USB mount (to transfer files back and forth between phone/computer).
2) Manually download the kernel from that link I gave you to your computer. Also, manually download JT's SuperClean Rom as well.
3) They will be zip files. Transfer them from your computer to your phone's SD card.
4) Power off phone. Hold volume button down and and press power button to get into Recovery Mode.
5) Now, this might end up being a pain for you unless you've backed up your contacts and stuff, but I would highly recommend doing both "wipe data/factory reset" and "wipe cache partition". I've had to do this before, but if you are using gmail, you should have all your contacts backed up anyways. Still a pain but it can solve problems when you've got your phone screwed up.
6) Now, apply update.zip in Recovery to get into Clockworkmod.
7) Wipe both "data/factory reset" and "wipe cache partition" in Clockwork.
8) go into "Advanced". "Wipe Dalvik Cache". Click Go Back.
9) Click on "install zip from sdcard"
10) Find both those zip files I had you transfer from your computer to your sd card. Install kernel first and then install Rom.
11) Click on "reboot system now"
12) It might take a while to boot. Be patient. After you are up and running and get your phone set back up, let me know how it went.

If you have any questions about all of this, ask. Good luck!

ok when you say back up your contacts, you do so by syncing your contacts with gmail via threw settings when gmail is open after selecting accounts?

Yes. They should be synced already. Actually, you know what, you can also do this:

1) Go into Contacts
2) Click Menu, click more, and then click Export/Import
3) Click Export to SD Card
4) Pay attention to the name of the file. It will be exported directly to your SD card (it won't be in a folder or anything).

There, that should cover you. You will lose your downloaded programs too but you should be able to go back into Market and get them re-downloaded especially the bought ones.

Dcj, two things to keep in mind for the future,

Stay calm. Almost every screwup can be unscrewed.

The first thing you should always do is get cwm. That's the screw driver. As long as you have that you can always go back.

It will depend on your phone and how you set it up. The SF will default to phone contacts or phone calendar sometimes. These will not be synced with google. You have to make sure you select google in your contact or both in some cases and google in your calendar.

Exporting the file to your sd card will work as well. I love apps that will export to the sd card :)

Ok. So, you placed the two zip files on your sd card (rom and kernel.)? Install them one at a time in clockwork. You tried that?
