Super Clean Rom (Dj05) Version 0.8

hey i did what you said but now im trying to re root my phone but when i get to a certaiin point my phone just shutsdown how can i get passed that??
it didnt happen before.

Sounds like you didn't have any luck with flashing the Geeknik kernel too so you went back to stock? So, you are saying that rooting isn't working? Which procedure are you using? One-click? If so, which one? I believe there were two one-clicks floating around. The last one-click that I did resulted in my phone shutting down too. It was supposed to reboot but didn't. I left it plugged into my computer as per directions from the one-click root program, rebooted it myself, and once it synced with computer again, the one-click finished doing it's thing. I would just try it again.

im doing the one using the mac like i did before like it gets to after i do ./rage.bin

but after the next pop ups come up my screen says my pphone was disconnected from the comp. and my screen was black and i couldnt turn it back on..

but after i unplugged it and pulled the battery it started back up and i just resummed where i left off. and it allows me to but then when i get too # cat /sdcard/su > su
it says there is no file in directory.

Well, I'm afraid I can't help with mac related procedures. I'm a pc guy.

Sweet! Man, I wonder what all the problems were about in the rooting not working? Weird. Glad you have it working!

still no bluetooth? when you went back to stock did you have bluetooth?

Excuse me if this was already answered but I got the DJ05 modem and kernel update to take, and applied the JT .09 rom, and everything worked without a hitch. Except... Now my status icons in the header bar are all goofed up. The 3G icon changes to a little voicemail bubble indicator at random, the GPS icon sometimes doesnt show up even though its running, the WiFi icon shows up but doesnt light up even though its connected, and the icons in general will "stick" from right to left so like sometimes a signal bar icon will appear to the left of the 3G icon and never go away until the wifi icon or gps icon changes and then it will overwrite it...

Weird, huh? The only thing that I didn't do 100% to the instructions was wiping the data/cache partition. I heard some people say they had good luck with it and so far I have had everything on the phone work fine except those icons... Should I try a data/cache wipe?

edit: Update: doing a data/cache wipe took care of this issue completely...

yeah you gotta do a reset and wipe. or you will get stupid crap happening to your phone. you get all excited that you finally got it right and then it starts acting stupid.
