Super dimmer mode

I've been looking to see if the super dimmer mode is an activated feature or associated with autobrightness mode. I read the feature in display mate's review of the Note 7.

They're referring to the blue filter that you can activate from the pulldown shade.

No, the Blue light filter is something different. The Super dimming probably works in conjunction with auto and then turning the brightness all the way down.

Is being able to go that dim a hardware feature or a software feature? I'd love to be able to drop my 6P brightness all the way down.
