Android Central Question

Hey I was just curious because I have not found any info about what Pixel 3 camera features were making their way to older devices other than night sight and playground.

Im really interested in the Super Res Zoom and Night Sight features but dont feel the need to upgrade to the new phone yet.

And honestly unless its due to the Snapdragon 845 then I see no reason why we can't get super res zoom on the Pixel 2, it has the pixel visual core to help process these functions and it should utilize it more than just allowing 3rd party apps to use HDR+.

Has anyone found legitimate information about this?

Thanks

I believe the night sight will come eventually but the super res zoom i thought was specifically for the pixel 3

I saw the card with all the features and when things are coming to other pixels.
night sight is coming in nov
playground( much better ar) coming in dec
res zoom not coming

Thanks

I suspect it's because the 3 is capable of HDR+ in real time, enabling it to process the faster burst likely required to gain the necessary data. Or I could be wrong and Google just wants us to upgrade...

I have a Pixel 2 and I downloaded the Pixel 3 APK, i think that's the file, and have some of the Pixel 3 features. The zoom is interesting but I wouldn't call it high rez. For me, the panorama is not workable but perhaps I'll learn how it works.
