So when i take a photo, when i hit the shutter button, it takes the time it takes to say "onethousandone" out loud before it the photo is actually taken. This CANT be normal, right? Even the cheapie samsung i have for work (i think is a Halo? It was like 150 bucks) takes the photo instantly. Why would my 1000+ phone's camera be so slow? Has anyone else experienced this?

Could be your sd card is corrupted or needed formatted first. Or possibly have a slow read write speed on sd card. Try making the phone storage default for picture storage and see if it still does it, if it does, then you might look into getting a good sd card for high speed and high res pictures

Make sure you dont have a timer set. If you havent set any special camera settings, choose reset settings in camera. You can also go into phone settings, apps, camera, storage and select Clear Cache

Dont have an sd card, but amyf27, i tried clearing the cache and it helped alot! Then i went in an turned off tracking auto focus and it seemed to improve a bit more, so now its *almost* instantaneous.

Thanks guys :)
