Super User Binary Not Updating

I've Unlocked, Rooted, Debloated. What I have noticed on occasion is a # in my notification bar. When I pull it down it says something like SU binary outdated. Update binary? So I try to update the binary (whatever that is) and I get an "Update Failed. Try Again?" with the following information...

Downloading manifest ... okay!
Parsing manifest ... okay!
Latest Version = 3.0.3.2
Checking Installed Version = 2.3.2-efgh
Fixing database ... okay!
Checking for busybox ... okay!
Checking current install path ... /system/bin/su
Downloading new binary ... okay!
Checking md5sum ... fail

Is this something that I should be concerned about? and if so what do I do about it?

Thanks for any input and help

As long as it's working, I wouldn't worry too much but if it's becoming a pain try updating superuser in the market. I did when I first rooted and haven't had an issue

This is an interesting point. Would it be possible to just copy the new su binary from somewhere?

I also have a question on whether sudo can be config'd just like on a Solaris or Linux for desktop installation with a sudoers file somewhere? If I root my kids phones I don't want them getting into it, only me.

1. You can copy the binaries from my ROM. I have the latest....

2. No

I guess since SuperUser seems to be working okay, I'll leave it alone. It just bugs me deep down, like something is not quite right.

Is there an advantage to copying the latest binary from your ROM? And what would I be looking for? Where would I find it? and once I copy it, What do I do with it?

Advantage: Latest binaries!

Its in /system/bin/ and is called "su"

Just copy it out and place it in the same location on your device...

Or

Just flash the zip I attached to this post.
