The driver will run just as fast as the computer can run it, and the 3.0 USB port will run at 3.0 speed. The code in the driver has to match Windows on one side and USB on the other. Samsung may come out with a newer driver that will take advantage of USB 3.0, but the speed increase won't be anything to rave about, unless you're transferring a 6GB file. (And I wouldn't rave about speeding up a 1 hour file transfer by 5 minutes. I don't sit and watch long file transfers.)
