Superuser Help

Yeah if you flashed an unrooted version of 4.04 you will have lost root access. You can just reroot if you'd like.

Just reroot.

Whenever installing a leaked OTA, be sure to use an app like RootKeeper. Also, after rerooting, be sure to update SuperUser (or make sure it's up to date).

ok guys one more quick question, i flashed back to stock 4.0.2 still rooted and unlocked downloaded rootkeeper and made sure SU was up to date, i flashed back to 4.0.4 today and used rookkeep to restore my root, but now SU will not recognize rootkeeper or CMR as having SU access any ideas ?

Can you boot into recovery mode manually? (hold vol up, vol down, and power together to turn on device - then scroll down to recovery with vol buttons and select with power)

I think you mighta lost root access, since you can't access recovery and you can't grant SU permissions.

You can try to flash recovery with adb ...

download the latest version of clockwork mod recovery to your cpu, rename the file "recovery.img" and place in the same folder as fastboot (usually in adb>tools or adb>platform tools).

then open that folder in the command window (cd [folder name]) and then enter the command:

fastboot flash recovery recovery.img

if that doesnt work you'll have to reroot, i think.

My advice is to flash a custom rom (aokp, liquid etc) they are way better than stock and they are prerooted and you will not have a prob with SU. All the custom roms get rid of the boot.p file so your recovery sticks.

Flash the latest recovery with rom manager (easiest way for now) and go in there and flash custom rom...all your issues solved.

i downloaded root exeplorer and i am trying to rename the recovery file but i can not swtich from mount r/w to mount r/w
