Support for Pixel Phones

Hi

Does anyone know that update support for the new Pixel Phones will be better than Nexus phones beyond 2 years.

I will be sold if they can do 5 year update support but beat Apple by giving full feature support.

Any ideas

Battery won't last 5 years and it will be cheaper to buya new phone than replace it.

Can't believe they doing that 3 years at least of system updates and 5 years of security updates

I'd have a hard time believing somebody was going to keep a modern phone for 5 years. That would be similar to a person today telling us that they were still using their Galaxy Nexus or something even earlier. There's just a whole lot of functionality that it can't support and the user experience is such a degradation compared to what's out now that it would be night and day.
