Surprise 1 - Amazon driver hands me the P5 box - NO P5 in it - box had been opened and the top folded back in to keep it closed -

He called driver support, who told him, to tell me to call Customer Service

Surprise 2 - I call CS and within 6 minutes had a full refund and I could keep the empty box

Never had this happen with all the phones I've gotten - I suspect the employees must know what is in the box by the "battery notice" on the cell phone boxes.

Sorry to hear it ..it’s not the first time I’ve heard similar story ...I do want to see your unboxing video too ..seriously wtf ..what are your plans to reorder ? Thinking not Amazon now ..

I've gotten about 6 phones in total from Google (by UPS and USPS) and 3 phones from Amazon (that weren't as advertised, so they were returned for refund) - and never got an open box. Maybe this is a new scam, perpetrated by either Amazon employees or by vendors. (Depends on who fulfilled the order. "Fulfilled" means "did the actual shipping even though the return address is Amazon".)

The driver asked me what kind of phone was in the box - I told him a Pixel 5 - He showed me the Pixel 2 he had - I wonder -

Oh well - such is like in Pixeland.

I don't like it when Amazon uses their own delivery service "Amazon logistics" Too easy for someone in the loop to tamper with orders. My order was initially slated to arrive today 12-3 pm. Now it says 6-10 pm. No way they will deliver that late. I hope I don't get a "your package was undeliverable or lost " update next.

All's well that ends well - my day is ending with a Green Pixel 5 courtesy of BB a few towns over.

No case space - call sound, my biggest worry, is fine - lighter than P4 - all things copied over from 4 to 5 w/o any issues - so far I'm a happy P5er.

1 issue - have to change the solid black desktop to go with the green phone - color things are not my strongpoint.
