I broke my collarbone , so now I can only use 1 arm at least for a couple weeks. Meaning , one handed operations are a bit tough since I don't have giant hands. Yesterday I was having some trouble texting and reaching my fingers across, even got my old iPhone 6 out because the size.
Today I'm not really having much trouble. I was using 1 handed text but I don't even need that. If I need to reach across the screen, the curve on the back makes it quick and easy to
Change my grip. I did play around on the iPhone 6 for about 2 minutes and turned it off. Glad I didn't activate it.

So impressed with the G4. Haven't enjoyed a phone this much. I have the black leather and i noticed it isn't as slippery as it was.

One handed use would be a lot easier if app developers started to design apps with large screens in mind. If the action bar of apps was moved to above the navigation bar rather than below the status bar, we'd never need to stretch our thumbs for anything.

I am intrigued by the Note 4 feature that apparently shrinks/moves stuff around to make 1 hand operation easier. I don't know what about that "technology" is exclusive to the Note 4.

I think the slight curvature of the back & screen helps. It isn't that much smaller than the Note 4 I came from, but a world easier to operate one handed.

My previous phone is the Note 2 and the G4 is so much easier to use with one hand. The balance, curved back, touch home button, lighter weight, and smaller bezel all helped.

I think mini view may have been a feature of one of the international models of the G3. The CloudyG3 ROM had it available for KitKat, but the feature disappeared with the Lollipop update so LG must have scrapped it. Personally, I feel the LG is still just small enough that that particular feature isn't all that useful. In most instances, you'd only need the screen adjusted briefly. It would be easier to just temporarily adjust your grip or to just keep a persistent dual window open and shrink the top window so that your main view is within any thumb range (naturally, you'd need root to unlock dual view for all apps for this method to work).

Maybe with the release of the larger G4 Pro later this year they'll bring it back. I can see it being a lot more useful on a larger screen (especially the Nexus 6) than it was on the G3 or than it possibly could on the G4.

I feel like the slight curvature of the screen has nothing to do with it. Or at least very, very little. The G3 had no such curve and it's just as easy to use, if not easier. The round back and edges definitely help, along with the thin aide bezels. The G3 and G4 just feel so perfectly in hand compared to any phone in its size category. I refuse to call it a phablet on the basis of its screen size when it's still primarily a one handed device.

Could be, never held a G3 so can't say one way or another. Bezels are about the same total area as the Note 4, so it may simply be that the small difference in screen size pushes the Note 4 over my one-handed limit. In any case, was definitely surprised at how much easier it was to use than the Note!
