Surprised the Galaxy Gear works with the s4

I have a Galaxy s4 and I was surprised i was able to download Gear Manager and pair the Gear smart watch. am I missing anything on the s4 compared to the Note 3 support?

It's working fine on the s4.

I've heard in another post that some things aren't working yet for the Gear/S4 combo. I paired the two and was able to receive a phone call, but that's all that I tried. I didn't try to transfer pictures and don't have text messaging enabled on my S4 to try that out with it.

Pictures work fine, I tested a few other things and it works fine. Pedometer and meeting reminders came today.

They say the weather doesn't come through when paired with the S4.. They could be issuing updates to remedy those omissions on the S4.

It probably won't be solved until the official update for compatibility comes from Samsung.

I have a Note 3 buy the size of this thing is at times more annoying than cool but I don't want to give up much functionality with the Gear. I know some of thus has been discussed but to definitive answer, can someone verify if the following functions work specifically on the S4?

I've read before that there are several features that work and others that don't work with the Galaxy S4.

I guess since making and receiving phone calls work that's enough for me to want it.
Only the price is keeping me away right now! :banghead:

The biggest limitation is that I cannot download new apps or clock faces from Samsung App Store. It downloads the file, but then says "Installation Failed. Try Later.(0)". Has anyone else encountered this, or got it working? I have to say, that after using the Pebble for a few months, this thing is a serious step up ... gorgeous, I love the touch screen, the camera is quite convenient. Looking forward to 4.3 !!
