Swapped out the TB, all my apps are gone.

Swapped my TB for one that the screen doesn't creak, and now all of my apps are gone from the new phone, actually they never showed up. My contacts/phonebook showed up, but nothing from Amazon App store or Android market.

Ideas?

If you had paid apps from the Market they should download on their own, unpaid apps you'll have to redownload on your own. Have no idea how Amazon is handling this.

syncing your google account only backs up your calendar, contacts & email accounts (as shown in Menu>Settings>Accounts & Sync)

it will NOT automatically download free apps to your phone that you have downloaded in the past or on a previous phone.

for easy access, go to market.android.com, sign in with your google account, and you can see an easy to read list of all the apps you have downloaded in the past. Click 'install' to push that app to the phone for an automatic download and you can install multiple apps very quickly.

That's a pain in the ass. I can see all of them on the market that I have d'led, but can't get them back to my phone.

that is not my experience. At the VZw store yesterday, they made me do a factory reset on my TB due to the network bug reported in other threads. Upon completion, all my apps(paid, and free) magically reappeared.

Did you sign-on to Google with the same credentials you used on your other phone?

I know that Amazon will also reinstall all apps once you put the Amazon app back on.

Mine also reinstalls most of the apps, but it does it with a REALLY old set. Just odd...anyone know how to make sure this list is updated? It's just odd.

When I activated my TB, my ads started downloading as soon as I signed in. they were slow in getting there, but everyone I looked at my phone a new one just appeared. May take a while.
