Swapping Sims between s5's

I like my S5 but the charge socket has gone intermittent. Totally unreliable! Not being all that technically savvy with phones, i decided to go with another phone and since I like the S5, I bought a “gently used “ one.

I'm pretty sure I can switch the Sim from one to the other and the phone will work. I have contacts, msgs, photos and music backed up to cloud. How can I get the data from the old phone's internal memory to the new one?

Welcome to Android Central! You should be able to use Smart Switch.

Thank you... That looks like a good plan. Will it move the applications too? I've been trying to root, but I'm hitting a wall and only now find that the Verizon version cannot be rooted.

It should transfer your apps, but I'm not sure if it transfers the app data as well.
