SwiftKey 3 vs SwiftKey 3 for Tablets

I have the paid version of SwiftKey 3 for my HTC Thunderbolt and really like it. I tried using it on my N7 and it seemed to work OK, but there is a known issue with it adding extra characters (sort of pasting what you just typed). That defect is related to Jellybean, not just the N7.

Swiftkey recommends buying the tablet version (obviously), but I don't want to do that if I don't have to.

Anyone have any opinions on the phone version of SwiftKey 3 versus the tablet version? What am I getting for my additional money?

I am currently using the stock keyboard app (until they fix SwiftKey) and don't really like it.

Thanks...

The tablet version of SwiftKey has more keyboard options (such as being able to select "thumb" input mode). I have it and it is sweet.

I'm using the phone version on mine and it works just fine.

I am using Thumb keyboard on my nexus 7 because swiftkey simply refuses to provide an option in swiftkey tablet keyboard to display arrow keys on the main keyboard (portrait or landscape).

The split keyboard when using SwiftKey Tablet in landscape mode is a must have. I adore it on the Nexus 7.

I don't believe this feature exists in the phone version. I am going to check... No, it is a tablet-only feature.

I haven't installed it on my Nexus 7 yet (need to do that), but on my other tablets, I like the phone version a lot more than the tablet version. The layout on the tablet version seems seeing funky and the proportions wrong. I messed around with the settings, but just never was thrilled with it, at least not as much as I was with the phone version.

Have to laugh at the swiftkey schills nagging you to buy another version. To address your concern, the tablet version has the exact same behaviour of adding letters when you correct a word with the cursor not at the end. I use it sometimes but I find it has issues and as another commented the buried cursor keys is a disgrace and the developer is so arrogant that in spite of overwhelming requests for them to be made more accessible has refused. So do you want to give them more money?

Edit= and by the way as a previous commenter mentioned the tablet layout looks really bad since ics. The suggestions text is miniscule.

Download the free 30 day trial version that has the exact same functionality as the paid version, and see for yourself.

I tried both and kept the tablet version for my N7. SwiftKey will be adding arrows on the main keyboard in their next update, according to their website. (Arrow keys are available now, but hidden two levels under the numbers key layout).

EDIT: Just noticed the OP is from July! Geez, if I had seen that earlier, I never would have posted. Oh well!
