Swiftkey Flow Beta is out.

Mind posting a screenshot of the keyboard? I was never into "swype" but I've been using it pretty often on the 4.2.x keyboard. How does Swiftkey flow compare in your experience?

Got it. I like it much better than the 4.2 Google keyboard.
I to have been using the 4.2 keyboard and it has potential. But it's not going to stand up against SwiftKey Flow.

I agree. I just switched to my RAZR today and loaded SwiftKey Flow. Been using my gnex with stock 4.2 keyboard and flow is much better

Agreed! I have been using the standard 4.2 keyboard on my nexus and flow kicks butt. I am really starting to like the swiping with out lifting the my finger from the keyboard.

Seems like it's really settling in nice after twelve hours of use. I think the swiping or Flow could use a little tweaking but it's darn close.

Yeah but even though it's in beta there are many apps it is disabled in.

Anyone else having a problem getting this to install? I"m running 4.2.1 and it won't install. Will it work on 4.2.1?

Thanks

I'm running it on 4.2.1. What is happening when it tries to install? I'll ask the stupid question and ask if you have allowed non-market apks to install?

I trie to install it using TWRP. I get an error that says failed. Don't I install it using TWRP? When I download it, it's listed as a zip file.

did you download it from the link in the OP? It should be an .apk file which is installed through a filemanager. An apk is really a zip. So if you looked at on your computer it could have been confusing.

Yes I did. When I save the file, it saves it as a zip file and not apk file. The zip files are suppose to be installed via TWRP or CWR. Is there something I'm doing wrong?

Nechasin...I got it working. I renamed the file to apk and installed it using file manager. Thanks for your help!!

Anyone using this that has previously been using Swype?? I was exclusively using Swype, really like(d) it for the most part.....honestly can't go back to "typing" normally on the screen any more.....but what started to bug me about Swype is that it's ALWAYS only been in "beta" and even though they now have the update notification right within the app making the updates easier, I think with the most recent update it seems to have jacked things up.....it shows that I'm logged in with the account I set it up with, but it shows my personal dictionary as empty and nothing new ever gets added to it like before.....that, along with the fact that there have been NUMEROUS occasions where I go to send a text and the Swype keyboard wouldn't pop up at all, would eventually crash and would take forever for it to start working properly again. The prediction with Swype has have been that great, always here everyone rave about how great SwiftKey is.....so figured since I actually plunked down a whole dime for SwiftKey back when it was part of one of the big Play store sales and I have it installed, figured I'd give the flow shot now and try the beta..... I assume that once it comes out of beta it will just be an "update" to the paid version I have through the Play Store anyway......

One question I do have for those now trying out Flow, that maybe have used Swype........are you finding that there are some "fields" that the Flow input doesn't work with??? Such as certain search type fields.....I've run into a few.....specific apps right off hand the most recent I encountered it not working with was Out of Milk, when trying to add a new item to the list. Keyboard still works for hunt/peck entry, but can't just "swipe" it like Flow should allow...... Swype always seemed to work with any type of entry field regardless....

I'm noticing that in the apps I'm generally experiencing this issue, it involves an attempt to do a search.... IMDB, the Play Store, within Gmail to select the To, CC, etc, (subject line and composing the email work just fine), text msg app (again, being able to "flow" who you want ti to text in the To field)......

Add to that list that you can't "flow" in the address/search bar in Chrome
