Is anyone using this keyboard, Swiftkey, on the Tab 2 10.1? I am and it keeps reverting back to the stock kb when restarted or rebooted. Yes, Swiftkey DEVs are already aware of it.

Yes I use SwiftKey for tablet. Used it since October 2012. Have not had the tablet revert back to the Samsung keyboard at all

Spikes

I must be doing something wrong as I can not keep it set on the Tab at all. Thank you for the reply.

BTW - Swiftkey Cloud, are you using it? I downloaded it but have not installed it as yet.

Next time the default Samsung keyboard pops up, check for a small keyboard icon in the notification area. Tap that and select SwiftKey there as well.

What version of Android does your tablet have?

It's running the latest 4.1.2 FishenFool. Thanks for asking. Again, Swiftkey does acknowledge there is a issue.

This is the one I always use to revert back to Swiftkey. I've tried to make it the default under settings -> lanuguage & keyboard and where you suggested. To no avail. I hope Swiftkey comes up with a resolution.

Off topic sorta... Oddly enough, Swiftkey tablet gives me the arrow keys on my Note 2 phone.

Yep. Same with my GS3. Guess we need to wait till 4.2 or higher for a fix.

I guess so. I saw a lot of request for a fix and for the arrow keys in the tablet version.

Have no problems with Swiftkey except whenever the phone reboots my keyboard changes back to Samsung and I have to change it back to Swiftkey.

The developers are aware of the issue. Its got something to do with the way android 4.1 recognizes the app in storage. Theres no problem with the free version reverting back to the stock keyboard after a reboot , only with the paid app strangely enough. I think that swiftkey allows paid users the option of keeping the demo version even after the free trial expires untill the problem can be fixed. But from what I understand, its an issue on Google's side...not the developers.

I'm a new Note 2 owner and there are no issues with it staying locked there but the Tab 2 10.1 is my concern. I am using both paid versions of SK but, the phone installed the tablet version. Is that odd or what??

Yep but seems sporadic on the devices a I am reading. And yes, the paid app is where the most complaints have been registered, oddly. Ah well... I'm hoping for a resolution some day................

It's entirely dependent on what version of Android they have installed. Hence the sporadic problems, certain people like s3 owners who are still on 4.1 or 4.12 have the issue. Apparently newer versions of Android and probably some older versions work better with paid aftermarket keyboard apps. I tested the beta version of cloud SwiftKey and it worked fine, as did the free demo. It's only the paid version with issues unfortunately. I have no idea how it reacts with custom ROMs but I know it's a widespread issue on 4.1 and 4.12 on stock devices.
