I've been using Smart Keyboard Pro since I had my DX but I see a lot of people are using Swiftkey. Can anyone tell me some pros/cons of each?

I found SwiftKey in beta it has since been released and is on sale now 1/2 off. I like it because it is fast at learning and makes me more accurate on screen typing. I came from a bb that had keyboard and typing on the screen has taken some getting used to. With SwiftKey 3 I feel that I am a better and faster type then without. The beta was good but I find the release to be even better. Good luck on your. Search for a keyboard.

I have been using swiftkey for the last 3 verision's now. I use it on my Razr and my Xoom and I absolutely love it. Never used Smart Key before but I don't plan on switching from SwiftKey

I never used smart keyboard. Currently I'm using swiftkey the predictions are very good and it really learns your words. THe only other keyboard I would consider nowadays is AI Type. it has a very adjustable size and for some reason i type faster on it than I do with my swiftkey. But it would definately be one of those 2.
i believe there are trials for both available on the market.

Sometimes it's spooky how well Swiftkey's prediction works. I swear, it's like it's right there INSIDE MY BRAIN!!!

I haven't tried Smart Keyboard, but Swiftkey is so so so good that I don't plan to. I've used a couple others (including Swype), but I've found the one I love...

I didn't like SwiftKey at first . . . the keyboard seemed too cramped, and I was focusing too much on my own accuracy. When I finally "let go" and allowed Swiftkey to do it's magical prediction thing, though, I was absolutely stunned.

SwiftKey is a remarkable feat of software engineering. I can type just as fast on my Razr as I can on my physical-keyboard (work) Blackberry, and I'm pretty damn good on the BB . . .

SwiftKey's predictions are incredible. SwiftKey all the way

I loved Swiftkey on my Charge but experience pretty bad lag with the Maxx. Others have as well.

This.

I used Swiftkey on my Sprint Epic 4G with no issues.

On my Maxx it seems to lag and constantly "eats" words. I really liked it on my Epic 4G, but I'm happy at the moment with Smart Keyboard Pro.

SwiftKey is definitely the best! With the latest version the occasional lag is also long gone :)!

I have issues with Swiftkey. Sometimes it thinks I'm swiping right to left so it deletes my word, or other times it just goes haywire and misses key presses and stuff. I have no issues with the stock keyboard

I'll tell you the truth i was a swiftkey guy because i loved the predictions but, i just switched to A.I. type and was able to custom size the keyboard and now I am typing faster than ever before. try the free version for a week. I kept switching back and forth but i think i'm hooked on the A.I. it looks nicer and i can now type fast because i made it large emought that the keys a spread out. I only use in portrait mode.

Smart Keyboard looks better in my opinion. For sheer looks I prefer Smart Keyboard. Also I have no major complaints with it, but that's because it really doesn't seem to do anything innovative or 'risky'.

Swiftkey 3 is pretty sweet as far as it's predictions, but it's frustrating when you go back to correct a word, and the cursor is mid-word and you select one of the suggestions, it inserts the suggested word and leaves the second half of the word you replaced. I HATE that so bad but it doesn't happen often enough for me to not use it. So Swiftkey 3 is my current keyboard.
