Swipe keyboard input

Hi,
Had the opportunity to play with the Note 10+ at the Costco wireless kiosk and am very impressed with the beautiful display. However, the default keyboard does not support swipe input (using the stylus or my finger) and I could not find any way to turn on this capability in the settings. I use my phone often to send texts and and post in Facebook, etc. and have always been a swiper, not a tapper. I don't remember having to download 3rd-party apps for this on my previous phones (Moto Z, Samsung S5, Moto Droid ...) but maybe I did.

So, can I get swipe input capability by downloading Swype or another keyboard? Will it work with the stylus?

Also, I haven't completely decided which one to buy so I'd love to hear from any users of any S10/S10+ or Note 10/10+. What do you like? Anything you don't like?

I use the Google keyboard aka Gboard but if I switch to the Samsung keyboard I can still swipe. I'll have to look at the settings.

Thanks, I'm relieved. I looked in the settings but I guess I was looking in the wrong place. Do you get to the keyboard settings from the gear-wheel?

I'm gonna assume somebody playing with the phone turned it off. I don't think I've ever seen it turned off in a store by default.

I think I tried the keyboard on two different phones - a Note 10+ and an S10 and neither of them accepted swipe input.

Thanks everyone. I bought the Note 10 Plus and am happy to report that Swype works quite well using my finger and even better with the stylus. (It still insists on substituting words that don't make any sense for the words that I meant :p though).

You should be able to turn off auto correct.

I love using swipe, or whatever they now use on the Note 10+, but does anyone know how to stop it from writing we'r when I'm only writing we? There are many other words it does too all the time. If it wrote we're, I might understand, but we'r is not a word. Just asking if I'm missing a fix to be able to delete a word it always writes. It doesn't even underline it as misspelled.
