The strangest thing keeps happening. I can't figure out what I'm doing to cause it, but I'd love to know if anyone has any ideas. I put my phone on standby. When I hit the power button again, the lock screen was made up of puzzle pieces, with one missing. It was floating at the top of the screen. I placed it where it belonged and woke up the phone. I put the phone on standby again, woke it up and the puzzle screen was gone, replaced by my lock screen graphic and the lock.

This has happened about 4 times in the last 2 days. I did add a lock screen graphic yesterday, so with GoLauncher, maybe that's whats causing the weirdness. I have to say, I like that puzzle piece thing better than the lock screen I have to swipe all the time. I guess this won't matter when I root my phone?

The puzzle piece usually happens when you have a notification ... like a text msg, missed call, etc. When you put the puzzle piece in it's place, it'll clear the notification and your normal lockscreen will be activated next time you lock your phone. Until another notification comes in.

I didn't know that. What's even more confusing then is why it doesn't happen every time. Maybe an app I installed? Also, does this strike anyone else as being kind of odd? I mean, why not do one or the other? I really like the puzzle...wish I could make it stick...

Yeah the puzzle piece is only there for a notification you recieved while the phone was asleep. But if you have no notification and you wake up your phone, you just have to sweep the whole screen to unlock it. Just the way Sammy has been with there TouchWiz.

Im runing Developer gtg on XDAs version of Infused V2.0.2. Stable version of Gingerbread from Rogers. And it allows you to use the ASOP lockscreen, which I find much better honestly.

Well, I can certainly live with that! :-) I just didn't understand why it was doing it. I'm going to root, but I need 10 minutes of uninterrupted time to do it. 10 minutes; is that a silly notion? :)

When the puzzle piece shows up, I just swipe the screen like I do the lock screen and it opens. No need to place the puzzle piece in the slot. Does this mean something is quirky with my phone?

No your phone is fine.. placing the puzzle piece into its slot just opens up the unread miessage or missed call that you have...

I was concerned that something might be quirky since I don't have to place the puzzle piece in the slot to unlock the phone. I can just swipe it to open as I do for the regular lock screen.

How Do I get the puzzel piece to answer my phone on my epic 4g ???
