Swipe Palm to screenshot not working

Always use palm swipe for screen capture on my s7. Tried this morning and it won't work. Went into settings and toggled feature off then back on..didn't help. Any help??

I had the same problem, until I went to "Settings", "Andvanced Features tapped "On"- swipe capture mode, then I "restarted" the phone. I touched the power & home button first, it worked. Then tried my hand swipe, it started working back again. Hope this helps.

Having this problem on my now 3rd S7 (different issues with previous 2). Tech support had suggested doing software flash. Rep was hoping to avoid going to that extreme, and he searched online for a solution. Initially worked (rep found posting that said to pause after first putting palm on the screen edge, then swipe). Worked about 3 times in the store, so I left with the phone. Went to show someone else, and no longer worked so back to the store. We did a software flash (guess it's akin to a FDR since I had to restore all my apps and settings). Tried it with no apps and no case on the phone - did nothing but go to next screen. We don't understand it at all. My 4th S7 is now on its way, and hoping that this will finally be one that works the way it's supposed to!

Wow, you rule, CWinkler! I know this is a older post, but it totally helped me today. I have a new S9 plus and still had not quite fully understood how to do a palm capture. I couldn't do it with my Note 5, my S6 and now my S9 plus, So I searched Google and found this post. I tried what you said, paused for a minute and then swiped, totally worked. So easy now, Thank You!! I don't think I'll use it often, but it's a option that at least I know how to do now. I usually use Bixby to take a screenshot. Thanks again.!
