Just upgraded to KitKat and now I need to swipe to unlock my phone, then enter my numerical password.

Would like to just have the numerical password screen pop-up without the swipe to unlock screen, as I had before with Jelly Bean.

Thanks for the help.

i'm not 100% sure if stock android still supports this feature. they might have disabled it too.

probably someone will come along and shed some light.

but ya what i meant is that your only hope of seeing that back is rooting and running a different ROM maybe because as it is, its gone.

Under security check "Bypass lock screen on wake" and it will not ask you to swipe to unlock unless your unlock time out has not expired. For example I have my lock time set for 3 minutes. If I unlock the phone, and use it or not, and hit the power button and then decide I want to wake it up again it will ask me to swipe to unlock. Otherwise it goes straight to my unlock screen. For me I'm using face unlock.
