Switch to Mobile Data

On my previous S8, the "switch to mobile data" worked really well if I was too far away from the router. However, on my Note 9, it's utterly hopeless...the phone hangs on to a wifi signal for dear life and sometimes means I have to be 100yds down the road before it will actually admit defeat (I can't imagine there's any wifi signal left long before then though).

I've tried both normal mode and aggressive mode...any ideas? Is it just me?

That's strange, because I have to be about 700 feet down the road before any my phones ever "let go of" my WiFi signal. It's usable that far - not strong or fast, but usable.
