So, I left the BB world and jumped into the Android world. I did have an iPhone 2nd gen and that did not work at all for me, back to the BB and now I am a Android lover.

Anyway, being with ATT, (no slander pls) I jumped at the chance to goto the Android Aria. I was totally impressed with the HTC hardware and the Android 2.1 software.

I had a little adjusting to do, but no big deal. I did find one little issues that I did not like, when I turned on the wireless the Cell 3G or Edge, was dropping.
I did some test and it was consistently lowering the cell signal, either way I would have kept the phone.

So in the 30 return policy the Captivate is released, yes I lucked out and got one today. It is great in every aspect:
The lager size fits my hands better.
The screen is incredible
The speed is awesome.

I could say many more thing but yes it was a good move.
If i did not have the Cap, I would still have the snappy little Aria.

Two Thumbs up for both phones!!

Awesome bud. I did the same EXACT thing! 3 year BlackBerry lover. Got the HTC Aria and loved it. Went back and was able to swap it for the Captivate with no extra charge! The guy hooked me up! Love it to death. Im glad the guy took care of me with everything. I will never EVER look back now that I got this bad *** phone. I never owned a phone as swift as this one. I dont think the IPhone can even touch this one.

I just switched from the BB 9000 Bold to a Captivate and I love it. Well I was in love playing with the att corporate store's training Captivate, got one out of the box and it was doing some funky things in the store. Took her home, did not think anything of it, went to charge 4.5 hours later it was still not charged, took it back because it kept going back to home *home touch button lit up 20x in a matter of a minuet. Now the second one is fully charged in 3 hours and working great. I love BB but Android is just awesome!

Cheers,
Charlie

I get the wiping, but why downgrade to an older kernel to upgrade back to a newer kernel. That doesn't seem to make sense.
