I finally could not take the Sensation anymore. The other day my 9 year old son commented to me that my phone is always "loading" when going to the home screen. That and the obscene boot times and connectivity issues drove me over the edge.

I am now on a Verizon Galaxy Nexus. I do miss the HSPA+ speeds of the Sensation, since LTE is still new in my area. But using the Nexus literally feela like being unschackled from Sense. Best decision i have made since purchasing my original Nexus One. I love everything about this phone.

I have a Sensation XE but don't have any of the above problems you mentioned. Just saying.

Same here no issues what so ever , though the galaxy nexus is a nice phone but not worth being to Verizon

My sensation is rooted and running an ice cream sandwich rom without sense.

You should've tried that first before blowing money on the Nexus...

I have been using the Nexus for almost a month now. Everything about the phone is refined. From the nice subtle tactile feedback when pressing one of the three on-screen ICS buttons, to the excellent battery use, especially on WiFi..

Today I went to the gym and did my normal 40 minute workout, watching 40 minutes of Netflix over the gyms free WiFi. The screen colors were much richer and deep on the Nexus, with excellent viewing angles, which is important when on a elliptical machine looking somewhat down on the screen as it is propped in front of the machine display. The sound was also much louder. The best part is that when I started, my battery was at 99%. When I stopped the video 40 minutes later, the battery was at 85%. Are you kidding me??!! With the Sensation, doing the same workout and viewing Netflix over WiFi, my battery would easily drop to less than 50%, sometimes even below 30%, triggering the Sense 3.0 power control feature.

I swear, the Sensation must have the worst dual-core processor out there. It's slow and inefficient, which is the anti-thesis of dual core processors. Sure, the Sensation was ok, but it just has too many little issues that added up for me. If you are on T-Mobile, I would highly recommend you sell the Sensation and jump to an unlocked GSM Galaxy Nexus. It's worth it.

Maybe something was wrong with yours..I get outstanding battery life on my device and never experience any of those issues. I'm running Insert Coins ICS 5.02. This device runs like silk on this ROM. The Sensation was not one of the worst cpus'. If had been why would they have based so many other models offits design and specs? Surely you realize the cpu in the Sensation is the same one in the EVO 3d, Rezound, Sensation XE, XL? The problems isnt the cpu, its SENSE!

It also was probably the fact that Android 2.3 was never designed with the kind of processor that our Sensation has. However, since I started running InsertCoin ICS my battery life has improved significantly and now I can get through a normal working day with moderate usage. Yes there is something to be said about Sense 3.0-3.6 in terms of lag, but I hope that will be fixed when Sense 4.0 hits the mod community.

I think you may have had a bad one or something. My rooted Sensation is much smoother and twice the battery as my wife's Nexus S. I don't think I could switch with her and be half as happy as I am with my Sensation.
