Welcome to Android Central, and welcome back to the world of Android! Congratulations on your shiny new S7!

Although I do not own an S7, my advice to you is to find and download your most-used apps onto your new phone/get all of your accounts organized. Google Play has an enormous assortment of apps - you will have fun there!

I am sure another user will come along with more concrete S7-specific tips and tricks. Android Central has lots of reviews on different devices and device-specific forums, so you can always have a look there to see what's up! :)

Hey I just switched back to iOS after 2 years :D high five! I think the universe has balanced things out. I switched from the Galaxy S7 to the 6S plus.

I think you should grab on to the flexibility of Android. Customisation. Launchers. Icons. Downloading APKs from the web. File explorers. And extra features which Samsung has like fast charging, wireless charging, amazing screen and camera.

Though I have to mention that fast charging is the only feature I'm missing after switching. And also, yes I have to admit, placing icons wherever I want. I miss these two things the most. I've managed to find all the widgets I put on my android homescreens in the App Store. They're all placed the same way in my today view. And soon in iOS 10 they'll be right there in the place of Google now; the left most screen.

So yes... Fast charging. The vibrant camera. Launchers. Icons. You'll love it!

And I have to mention another thing. Many iOS users will disagree but still In my opinion the apps designed on Android are wayyyyyy better and more coherent than they are on iOS. There is no coherence in apps. Every app is designed differently. Which could be a good thing for some but not for me.

Having said that, they work better and smoother on iOS. There is very little stutter within apps. I don't know why.

So the looks goes to android (by a large margin). And performance (by a little margin) is better on iOS.

Do let me know if you feel this difference or not?

I disagree. It's gotten a bit better but any app I have on iOS and on my V10 looks far more polished on iOS. It's not like it used to be where the android version looks cheap (reminded me of how bad apps looked on BBOS) but I couldn't disagree more with you. Cheers.

Yes I knew many iOS users would.

Just be aware of the myriad settings and settings within settings, you can fiddle endlessly but you can also turn things off than should be on, and you'll have a major headache trying to work out what you turned off/blocked/ disabled... It's part of the challenge. Love my S7
