Switching back and forth

I've read through a few posts of people who switch back and forth between android and iOS often.

My most recent attempt was super annoying when I switched to the nexus 6.

I still wasn't receiving text messages, I had to ask friends to delete group messages, and even after setting up new group messages there were times I didn't receive messages. I did all the official things to remove myself from iMessage but that still didn't work 100%.

I tried to encourage everyone to use hangouts or something similar but iPhone users really love iMessage.

Anyways, these new Samsung devices look encouraging, just wondering what other folks have done and was it a clean break from iMessage.

I stayed in my group messages via my iPad. Not the best fix but still convenient?

Did you use Apple's online tool to remove your number from iMessage? I used it when I switched and it worked for me instantly.

Because I also have a Mac and an iPad I REALLY miss iMessage whenever I switch. I'd be in heaven if Apple would license iMessage to Android. I'd happily pay for it. I know it will never happen but it's nice to dream. Many people on this Android forum will never understand any hype around iMessage. All I can say is that you'd actually have to use it (having an iPhone as your main phone) to understand.

I agree. I think imessage is the iPhones best feature.

Our groups tend to use Facebook messenger as we have 50/50 platform. It works. That said I miss imessage on my MacBook
