Switching Carriers but sticking with Samsung.

Sorry if this is in the wrong place... So I am switching pretty soon from Tmobile to Verizon, I know are two different network signals. My sister successfully transfered a number to verizon and back before. I am going to try and transfer mine over. So here goes the question! I have a Note 4 now, plan on getting the S7, whenever they get it back in stock, will all my things saved to my google account transfer? Such as contacts? I know they have before when switching from an S2, S4 and to my Note 4. Just curious if it will be as easy. I copied over all my sim contacts to my google account. Another question! If i dont keep my number, will all my things still transfer over if I use the same emails? Thanks so much in advance. I'm a feel like I know quite a bit when it comes to these things, but there is always that fear of the unknown.

Yes, anything that you have backed up to Google's servers will follow your Gmail ID, regardless of your carrier and/or phone number.
