Hey guys! This question prolly gets asked a million times a day. So I do apologize. Let me start by saying that I have been using Blackberry for 7+ years now. I want to give Android a try. I have Tmo and the "newest" 4g phones they have are the the Amaze, Galaxy S2, and Bold 9900. I wasn't too impressed with the S2 and the S3 has already been announced. The 9900 is too close to my 9700 to justify spending $400.

Let me state 2 things:
- My Blackberry does and is doing everything I need t to just fine (Email, text, and Google maps - not really a power user) But its getting abit beat. Taking a long time to load, find gps, etc...
- I hate to waste money on technology. I work in the tech field and it seems like something "new" is always right around the corner.

So before I go an impulse buy the Amaze. Is it the right time to buy or should I wait for the next "hot" android phone?

I just did what you did. I have from T-Mobile and pulled the trigger yesterday cuz the Amaze 4G is free right now till midnight. I had a blackberry for the past 3 years.

Phone has not came yet but I have used a friends and loved it.

I was thinking about waiting for the ONE S also, but in reality, once the " next hot " phone comes out, the NEXT HOT phone will be just around the corner. If you are eligible for an upgrade or off contract, id call up and ask for retention department, and get it for free. Its free on the website, so ud need to talk to retention to get it for that price. Depending on the plan u have right now of course

Both good things to consider. But if the One S is due for release in a week or two. I think I will wait until then.

T-Mobile I believe is going to get the S not X. I personally chose the Amaze because its going to get ICS anyway sooner or later and I think it looks a lil nicer. Its not as thin as the S though.

I didnt wanna spend any money out of pocket so thats why I chose the Amaze. If you wanna spend the money then yes deff wait for it to come out. The Amaze was 259.99 when it was first released. ( That was after a 50 dollar mail in rebate) I expect around the same price point with the S. With taxes and everything, probably around 320 total. Hopefully no mail in rebate this time

F* this is such a hard decision, lol - part of the reason why I stuck with Blackberry. You don't have all these manufactures making Blackberry phones, if you want the best BB you just buy the new one... Now I ahve to do research, lol

On the bright side. There really isn't any wrong decision that you can make. RIM is on the verge of being dead and BB 10 wont even be out till the end of this year.

If you want the latest, I'd wait until the One S comes out in a couple of weeks. If you want the best, get the Amaze. In terms of build quality you just cant beat it. Not to mention it kicks a lot of butt. Dont really see how you can go wrong. Good luck!!!
