Switching from Camera to Video and back

My HTC LTE had the camera icon as the default. This morning, I held it down and it switched to video.
Now, I can't get it to switch back to the camera icon. I even checked the manual and it didn't give a hint.
Any suggestions?

Are you referring to the camera screen itself? Mine has always shown the video camera icon just below the shutter icon. The shutter is for the camera function and the video camera starts the video function.
