switching from iPhone moved my iMessages. How to move from Samsung Messages to Google Messages?

I used the smart switch to copy my messages from iMessage in iPhone to my samsung. However, the messages are all in the Samsung Messages app, even though Google Messages is my default app.

Is there a way to move those messages over to Google Messages?

Also, when using gestures, is there a way to gesture to see all current running apps?....like you could by pressing the one button when not using gestures?

Maybe restart the app. Messages should show in any app you use.

I tried that.
Fixed it by making Samsung Messages default and then launching Android/Google Messages and making it the default again.

Yeah once you download Google message and tap in the welcome screen there and choose default it automatically populate your messages over and becomes your default

As to your second question about all open apps it works the same as iPhone. Just swipe up and pause.
