Has anyone switched from Note 4 to G4, if so do you feel you made the right decision overall?

Switched from Note 4 to Nexus 6, and now I'm testing out the LG G4. I'd rather wait a few days seeing as I just got it... I would have kept the Note 4, it was a very solid device. But lag was the worst with it's multitasking menu, camera was more of a letdown than any reviewer online would ever admit, battery life was all right (not great, not bad...), but the lag in multitasking, camera, gallery and taking /reviewing images from the camera app was too much. I'm a very simple user, but I use those features most. I want to copy and paste data - didn't work for me quickly enough. The nexus 6 is an awesome phone. I might keep it. But I can't 100% say I will until I try out the LG G4. I want to compare smoothness, battery life and camera. I already know Camera is awesome. Screen is smaller, but it's also more compact in its design. Audio quality will be worse, that's for sure, as it doesn't have FFS.

But hey, to each his own. But I can almost guarantee that the Note 4 is a worse device unless you're heavy on the S-Pen. No other device on the market comes close, unless you're getting a Surface or something like that - but now we're not talking about phones. I don't think you can go wrong with the G4 :)

The biggest drawback of the g4 compared to the note 4 is the battery life. G4 doesn't come close in my usage. Also the g4 so runs hotter and overheats in navigation with full brightness and satellite view unless I put it in front of the ac vent.

Otherwise the g4 does perform better and have a better camera

I did, & while the Note 4 is a really good device overall, I'm pleased with the switch.

Battery life is better on the Note 4, but I'm satisfied with what I get on the G4. Display is great on the Note 4, & great on the G4. Note 4 camera was very good, but my G4 is even better. One handed use is much easier with the G4.

What everyone is saying about the negatives of the g4 is correct.

I don't agree to much on the battery part though. My on screen time on the g4 was only 30 mins less than the note 4.

I work in an area where I have 1 bar or no signal. After my 12 hr shift. Barely using each phone . note 4 is at 30 percent. My g4 is at 73 percent. The g4 sleeps better.

Yes the g4 runs hot.
I also prefer the brightness of the note 4

I also prefer the brightness of the note 4 of course it depends on your specific task... If the tasks rarely engage the a57 cores then sure the battery life could be close to the note 4.

Everyone's situation is different. But by and large, the vast majority of people get substantially better battery life on the note 4.
